The Chaplain plays an essential role within our union. They are responsible for helping with the Division's opening and closing exercises and act as the chaplain on all public occasions. Additionally, along with the President and Vice President, they form the relief committee. As part of this committee, they visit members who are sick and provide them with any necessary care and attention they might require during their time of need. The Chaplain's presence and support bring comfort and a sense of community to our members in both joyous and challenging times.
The Trustees, also known as the auditing committee, have a responsibility to review the division's books and accounts every quarter. They need to create a written report about their findings and share it with the Division. If they fail to do this, they will be held accountable for any financial wrongdoings. Additionally, they must submit a yearly report to the Rail Conference President. If a division wants to get help from a professional accountant to assist the auditing committee, they can decide to do so through a majority vote during a division meeting.
